Luminina – operating as Hope Chest, a local 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit agency that provides free exercise and nutrition classes, emotional support and paddling training for breast cancer survivors – announces the third annual Hope Chest Buffalo Niagara Dragon Boat Festival to be held on Saturday, June 14 at Baird Point at the State University of New York at Buffalo North Campus.

Baird Point is one of WNY’s most beautiful event locations with its Greek-style amphitheater overlooking Lake LaSalle. The campus has ample parking and many other amenities that make it ideal for our coveted annual race and event. Our new location is perfect for racing and minimizes the risk of cancellation due to bad weather.

Spectators and teams will be equally impressed with the abundant viewing areas, new vendors and large concession area. Raffles, refreshments and children’s activities will be available.

Registration is limited to 60 teams comprised of corporate, community and breast cancer teams from all over North America. We anticipate team registration to fill quickly due to the increased interest from out-of-town teams. Register your team early to ensure participation in this exciting and popular Western New York summer festival. All proceeds benefit Hope Chest of Buffalo.

For team registration, sponsorship and additional details, visit www.hopechestbuffalo.org and our Facebook page “Hope Chest Dragon Boat Team,” or contact Susan Gately at smgately@mac.com
