This year marks the 25th anniversary for the Walden Galleria Mall. Since the grand opening of the shopping center, many changes and improvements have been made to turn it into not only a shopping destination, but also a dining and entertainment destination.

Walden Galleria’s Marketing Director Sarah Graf said the shopping center has grown tremendously since it’s opening.

While there have been stores such as Aeropostale, Gap, Ann Taylor and a few more, that have had a loyal relationship with the Walden Galleria and have been there since the beginning, there have also been new and exciting additions.

Graf said the goal is to create a mall with luxury brands and stores that can’t be found at other local shopping centers.

In addition to the shopping experience, guests are sure to have a unique dining experience at the Walden Galleria as well. With restaurants such as the Cheesecake Factory, Bar Louie, BRAVO! Cucina Italiano, P.F. Chang’s and more, a variety of great meals, and great dining experiences are available.

Graf also said Texas de Brazil, a Brazilian steakhouse, will soon be open as well.

To make the Walden Galleria the ultimate one-stop shopping, dining and entertaining place to go, entertainment options, such as Pole Position Raceway and Regal Stadium 16 are also open for fun. In addition to these, Graf said more entertainment options are being planned as well.

“Walden Galleria’s focus for the future is bringing entertainment concepts to the center,” she said. “Integrating entertainment to the shopping center will allow us to really engage and connect with our shoppers, providing them the ultimate shopping, dining and entertainment destination.”

To celebrate the anniversary, an event was held on Thursday, inviting the public to enjoy food from some of the great restaurants, music, games and to even win prizes.

Graf said the focus for the anniversary celebration was to give back to the community that has supported them for 25 years.

“Walden Galleria is proud to serve the Western New York region for the last 25 years and we so deeply appreciate our loyal customers,” said Graf. “Our focus is on giving back to the community and what better way to do so than hosting a party to celebrate Walden Galleria’s birthday with our neighbors and friends?”

The Walden Galleria is constantly going through changes and renovations and Graf said the growth and improvements are all thanks to the customers and the community. More shops, entertainment and dining options are to come as the mall continues to expand and grow.
