BUFFALO - Talking Leaves on Elmwood will be the site for the launching of the new collection of work by Buffalo cartoonist Steve Delmonte, “House Calls.” We’ll gather at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30 at 951 Elmwood Ave. to meet the author and have him autograph our personal copies of the book, his third to make its debut at Talking Leaves.

The signing is free and open to the public. Attendees wishing to have a copy of the book signed by Delmonte are expected to purchase is from Talking leaves as an act of support for the author and the bookstore sponsoring the event.

“House Calls” is Delmonte’s third collection of cartoons following “A Pocket Full of Fun” and “It’s Just Business.” This new collection takes a witty look at the lighters side of medicine and health care. We’ve all had good, bad and sometimes strange experiences visiting the doctor. This book attempts to ease the worries that commonly attend the doctor visit. There’s no doubt you’ll feel better after reading it.

Delmonte has been drawing cartoons and doing humorous illustrations for magazines, ad agencies and book publishers for 30 years.
