ACTS to host the Parkside Brass Quintet

ALDEN - The Alden Christian Theatre Society, 1470 Church St., hosts the Parkside Avenue Brass Quintet in a concert of holiday favorites at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14.

Admission is $5 at the door.

The Parkside Brass, led by Dave Wendel, features two euphoniums, two trumpets and a tuba, resulting in a unique, mellow sound. The players have been performing for many years now, not only with the Parkside Brass, but with various local and regional groups.

During the concert, the coffee bar will be open for specialty coffee drinks and desserts.

ACTS will also host Polish Christmas in the Villafe at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28 and Saturday, Dec. 29 as well as at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30. Tickets are $30 and include a Polish dinner, a keepsake program and koledy booklet and the show, presented by the Polish Heritage Dancers of Western New York, which tells the story of the traditional Polish Christmas Eve celebration with dancing and music. Tickets are presale only and can be ordered by calling 937-7770 or 835-9454.
