The third annual Winterfest, slated to be held Jan. 26

TONAWANDA - The Tonawanda Central PTSA, in conjunction with the Tonawanda Recreation Department, will be holding the third annual Winter Fest from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 at Tonawanda High School. All events are free and open to the public. However, tickets will be for sale for a Chinese Auction. Food and drinks are available at cost in the THS Café provided by the City of Tonawanda Youth Board.

There are several competitive events planned for this day. We are currently seeking contestants for several events, including:

• Chili Cook-off

• Team Snow Sculpture Building

• Indoor 3 vs. 3 Basketball (Grades 4 and 5, 6 through 8, and 9 through 12).

In addition to these competitions, there will be a Community Snow Fort Building; the auditorium will present movies throughout the day; the pool will be open with life guards on duty; and all there will be various activities such as crafts; Dance, Dance Revolution; Just Dance and more. Prizes awarded for highest scores on the video games.
