Marching Redskins earn bronze medal at state championships

LANCASTER- The Lancaster High School Marching Redskins took third place at the 2012 New York State Field Band Conference Championships held Sunday, Oct. 28 at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, N.Y.

The Marching Redskins led on the field by Drum Majors Ruth Williams and Katie Kessler scored an 87.8, placing ahead of Jamestown, Central Square and West Seneca. Baldwinsville placed first and Brentwood second in the Large School Division 2 competition.

The Marching Redskins will now travel to the Bands of America “Grand National Championships” to be held at Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis, Ind. from Nov. 8 to Nov. 10.
