Assemblyman Ryan to hold public meeting about Woodlawn Beach

BY: The Sun Staff | February 15, 2013

On Thursday, Feb. 21, New York State Assemblyman Sean Ryan will hold a public meeting to discuss Woodlawn Beach in Hamburg. Ryan has assembled a team of graduate students in the fields of science, geology, and environmental engineering, to study conditions at Woodlawn Beach, and what can be done to improve those conditions.

The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. at Hilbert College, 5200 South Park Ave., in Bogel Hall, Room 101.

Woodlawn Beach is chronically plagued by closures due to E. coli. The meeting will feature a presentation by the graduate students to discuss some of their preliminary findings, and the public will have an opportunity to ask questions and give their thoughts on beach conditions, and any suggested improvements.

All members of the public are invited to attend. For additional information, please contact Assemblyman Ryan’s Buffalo Office at 885-9630.
