DEPEW - The Depew Fire Department elected the following as their chiefs for 2013:

David Adamberger, fire chief; Joseph Whipkey, first assistant chief; Scott Wegst, second assistant chief; Jamie Nusall, third assistant chief; Todd Rzeszutek, fourth assistant chief; and Ryan Paolella, fifth assistant chief.

The Depew Fire Department protects just over 16,000 residents within five square miles of the Village of Depew. The department consists of four hose companies, one hook and ladder company and one hose/rescue company.

We proudly boast the largest volunteer fire department in Erie County and one of the largest in New York State with over 140 members. The department responds to an average of 300 calls of emergencies throughout the year, including structure fires, motor vehicle accidents, rescue calls, traffic control, carbon monoxide alarms and many other types of emergencies.
